|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-11-00532Sansa (female)|
Sansa Wants to Learn What True Love Is All About Female, 2-3 year-old, medium-sized, German Shepherd, black and tan Good with other dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Sweet Sansa was found as a stray with her puppies and taken into Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. Her owner claimed her puppies but left poor Sansa there! SPR volunteers knew we had to bring this girl in and show her the love she's been missing. Sansa is pretty thin and needs to put on some weight. But she's already starting to eat better. Her foster dad says she likes to have a little broth or flavor added to her food. Well, who doesn't, right? She is getting along well with her foster fur siblings, but really wants love and affection from her humans since she's been missing that her whole life. She follows her foster dad around so she won't get left behind again. If you're looking for a sweet girl that just wants to be loved, Sansa is your girl! As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. |Rescue Me ID: 15-04-18-00192Lobos (male)|
Lobos is a 3 year old German Shepherd Mix who is very energetic and has a lot of love to give. We caught Lobos before he was turned in to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. He was absolutely terrified and his owner was dragging him in on a rope. For an hour, he hid behind Casey, owner of SAIL Rescue, and tried to crawl into her lap the whole time she drove him home. It took a long time to get Lobos (his original name) to come out of his shell and come out of his shell he did! He is a typical German Shepherd and needs constant exercise and a firm hand. He is not a typical GSD in the fact that he LOVES other dogs. Small dogs are his favorite! He is good friends with our little terrier Whiskey and they LOVE to play! He loves playing fetch, anything he can find, he'll fetch it for you! Lobos must be homed with an experienced handler and needs some extended training with someone familiar with the breed. He does NOT like being told what to do, so dedication, repetition and a firm hand are key. Lobos is potty trained, crate trained, prong collar trained and walks well on a leash. He loves to cuddle and would do best in a home with no children until he receives more training. Lobos is neutered, current on Rabies, 4-1 and Bordatella vaccines and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $100. (Less)

Belgian Malinois Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Belgian Malinois is a large, dominant, intelligent, protective breed. The Belgian Malinois is usually used as a working guard dog. Malinois make good pets. They need to be with people and get enough attention or they can become destructive. Malinois should be socialized with children and other animals from an early age, and need to be watched around small non-canines. Malinois do best in cooler climates. Belgian Malinois are used to outdoor work, but can live in an apartment if they get plenty of daily exercise.
