Very good temperament, no issues with house breaking. Loves activity lots. Chief needs a home with an experienced Malinois owner. He's a puppy so we are working on manners, and basic commands. He lives with a 14 year old boy and a little Pomeranian mix. He loves to play and run lots, so big yard is important. Does not bark unless there's an alert of some kind. Would be great for a Search and Rescue or some kind of constant activity giving him a job.

Darling Brice! This 4yr old boy is incredibly sweet natured, affectionate and gets along great with people he meets outside the home. When in the home, he feels the needs to protect so he must have an experienced handler to help him understand that he does not always need to guard the home but instead can just relax. He really is a gentle boy that loves affection... and LOVES to run and play with the other dogs, once he's been properly introduced. He's very smart and learns very quickly... except he gets so excited when meeting new people he still jumps up to greet - but he's getting there! Even though he loves children, he does feel the need to protect and guard them so to help him feel more at ease, no children in the home is best. He'll thrive in an active home that will take him on long walks, jogs and hikes... and that has a large yard in which he can run and stretch his legs. Another large, female dog in the home would be ideal. An active, athletic and assertive person or couple is a must for Brice. (Less)

Belgian Malinois Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Belgian Malinois is a large, dominant, intelligent, protective breed. The Belgian Malinois is usually used as a working guard dog. Malinois make good pets. They need to be with people and get enough attention or they can become destructive. Malinois should be socialized with children and other animals from an early age, and need to be watched around small non-canines. Malinois do best in cooler climates. Belgian Malinois are used to outdoor work, but can live in an apartment if they get plenty of daily exercise.
