     Sadly we had to put our 14 year old Mal, Amie, down about eight weeks ago. She had been a working dog that served her community and worked her way into our hearts. We were all left with a huge hole in our lives with her passing. That was especially true for our other Mal, 10 year old Achilles. We found Lola though Rescue Me, met her via Skype, and fell in love with her. This sweet girl has found her home and though we'll never forget Amie, the hole in our lives has been filled. This would have never happened without Rescue Me! What a great organization!

     My husband and I recently decided to start a new chapter in life and sell everything to move on board a sailboat. We loved our Belgian Malinois mix Navi and took him with us. Even though he easily figured out how to get on/off the boat into a dinghy to go to shore, once on shore he didn't want to return to the boat. We worked with him a lot but he repeatedly managed to communicate that he did not like the boat AT ALL. After much heartbreak we decided to find him a land-based home. We talked to many different organizations, shelters, and listed him on different websites, but the only website that helped us find the right home was Rescue Me. Within hours of posting Navi, we had calls and emails. Over 30 people contacted us in about two weeks! We narrowed those people down to three possibilities and met with each of them. They were all wonderful people, lots of love for dogs in general, and Shepherds in particular. We felt really fortunate that because of Rescue Me we had multiple great options for Navi's new home. We chose the best one and then when the day came to drop Navi off we felt really good about leaving him at his new home.

     I saved a wonderful high energy girl from being killed, but she was not in the right place with us as our small dog was full on freaked out by her and she needed much more than what we could give her. I found the perfect home for her with a woman who works for a vet and has a one year old German Shepherd for Mya to play with.      Our beloved Belgian, Smokey, passed away unexpectedly in April of this year, at only 7. After several days of grief and heartbreak (and a too quiet house), I started visiting websites with Belgians for sale/adoption. Just to look! And then I saw this post for Storm. I was intrigued. If we were going to get another dog, he was perfect. male, one year old. But our family decided we were going to wait a few months before talking about getting another dog. However, later that same evening I caught my husband researching Belgians! I mentioned that I had seen one that I liked. He called the phone number listed in the ad and spoke with the owner. We texted back and forth sending pictures of Smokey and Storm to each other. Storm's owner was moving and could not take him and was heartbroken. He felt he owed it to Storm to find the right family. Someone who knew about what Belgians need. We live in Tucson, he was in Prescott. But as fate would have it, my husband was going to Prescott the very next morning for work. And it was only a couple of blocks away from where Storm was! They met up, my husband loved him, and brought him home that night with him. Storm has already filled our lives with so much joy and love. We would never have imagined that we could have so much happiness after losing Smokey. Thank you Rescue Me! We're so glad we found you!

     My Belgian Malinois mix was rehomed through Rescue Me. I found that by changing little things about my post and keeping it 'new' helped immensely to present my Penny in her best light. I am very pleased with the exposure that my pet received on the Rescue Me site. I had her posted under German Shepherd for a few months until I realized what breed that she actually is and changed it to Belgian Malinois. On this website, I found the traits and looks of what a Belgian Malinois does and favors. This has been overlooked by many people that attempt to re-home their pets/fosters. They are smaller than the German Shepherd and do not perform like the GSD. But they have special traits of their own. I am so happy that my Penny is now placed in the PERFECT home where she now fits in so much better than in the environment where I am fostering many dogs. I also have three cats. Thanks to Rescue Me for this free place to post and find the perfect pet.

     We loved Rex like no other dog! However, he was too much for our neighborhood and was too loyal to the family. He let no one near me. It broke my heart to have to find him a new home.      After about 15 inquiries into possibly adopting Sirius, we had someone take the time to meet him. He was very shy at first, but over the hour, he warmed up. I know he will be fine and all settled in a couple of weeks, but we will miss him something awful. He is such a quiet and behaved guy. Now to get his other brothers adopted. Thanks, Rescue Me.

     We were quite fortunate with posting on Rescue Me. Satie had many phone calls. Among the first callers was a woman who has a some land and wants to train Satie for competition. Our person had experience training for competitions and came within two days. They got along great and Satie loved the attention. While it was painful to do this, we know that our visitor and Satie will be very happy with her new owner. They will have lots of time together, learning, playing, and loving.

     Our Belgian Malinois has found a new happy home with a Police officer of a K-9 unit. He will love the training and he is a working dog so it is a perfect fit. We received multiple emails and decided this was the best home for him. We took our time, even though we were flooded with requests, to make sure he had the RIGHT home. Rescue Me is great and it really made it easy when you have so many choices for people wanting to adopt.

     Rescue Me is a Godsend! Reece's former owner was cruel to him and then one day just locked him out of his yard to roam the streets and starve. The day after I posted this sweet pup's picture and story, a wonderful family drove an hour to come adopt him. Even though the dog was never mine, they keep me updated with pictures and videos of him in his happy new home. In three short weeks, this lucky fella has completely come out of his shell and is demonstrating the charm that Malinois are known for.

     It is with great happiness that I am able to write this success story. My Belgian Malinois has found a new happy home with a Police officer of a K9 unit. It was a heartbreaking decision for me, but my circumstances had changed to the point I could no longer keep her and I wanted to make sure she had a happy home with a family or new owner who would understand her special needs as a Malinois. Within a day of posting, I was flooded with potential adopters and within a week she was off to her new home. I was able to speak with and meet in person with the police officer and his entire family. Even though I was very sad, I was very happy to know she was going to a great home. I have to thank Rescue Me for helping make the introductions and giving me a place to go when I had no idea where to start. I also have to send a big thank you for Man's Best Friend and Brandon there who made it possible as well and with helping in the transition for me and for Cheyenne. I sincerely hope I never have to use the Rescue Me site again, for that would truly break my heart, but thank you so much for all you have done. I recommend Rescue ME highly. Again, thank you!

     After loosing our beloved Belgian Malinois to cancer, we were having a tough time finding just the right dog as a next dog. We had looked at hundreds of dogs, but had not found another Malinois with the rare gift of being great with children. When we contacted Ares' owner, it was as if he was describing our dog. The dog was a long way away, but we made the trip and it was worth it. Ares had his head in the lap of my five year old entertaining her the whole way home and, when we stopped for dinner, he was a perfect gentleman to everyone there, even when someone else had a dog who was challenging him.      Sadly I had to post my faithful friend to find her a new home. The next morning God answered my prayers, and I was contacted by a retired couple on a 180 acre farm just 30 minutes from where I live. I am moving and am not able to take Ely with me. She was a rescue dog and has needed much love, so I didn't want her to go to just any family. This woman and her daughter both get alerts from the Rescue Me site, and they have always taken in older rescue shepherds, so they know what they are getting. We drove and visited them the same day as the call, and I could just feel the energy of a loving, peaceful home. I asked if they would adopt me, but they said I cry too much! I included all her belongings, such as kennel, toys, doggie beds, a full bag of unopened food, and many different dog brushes for all that hair! So today I have sad tears and happy tears. Once she gets settled in, they said I can come and visit until I move. Then we will keep in touch through mail. What a wonderful site. It was so easy to use. Thank you for having this site.      Boss found his forever home! Within 24 hours of posting his photo and story on Rescue Me!, he was adopted by the most wonderful family! He will be trained as a service dog for an amazing Wounded Warrior, injured in Afghanistan. This young lady has suffered a traumatic brain injury and needs to be constantly monitored in the event she has a seizure, or any other trouble. Their story really spoke to me, as our eldest son also suffers from TBI received in combat in Afghanistan. We drove Boss out yesterday to meet them, and there was an instant connection. They have sent me numerous photos of him today, playing with the soldier's little girl and the other dogs on their farm. He will be loved completely and will also have the very important job of warning the Wounded Warrior's mother when she needs help. I cannot thank Rescue Me! enough for the crucial service you provide to needy animals and the people who love them.

     Thank you so much! We were desperate to find this beautiful, loving dog a new home after her owner, who's been overseas for nearly two years, found out she will have to be overseas for another year. The woman who was caring for Ms. Lady while her owner was away was transferred unexpectedly, and had to move into an apartment which wouldn't allow her to take Ms. Lady with her. I couldn't take her because my husband is extremely allergic to dogs and cats. I put Ms. Lady's plight on Rescue Me! shortly after noon on Friday and by noon Saturday I was traveling to deliver her to her new home with a wonderful loving woman - and best of all - Ms. Lady's new home was only 2-1/2 hours away! Ms. Lady is settling in nicely and loves her new home, playing with another Belgian Malinois, and running the fields with horses. What a Godsend this site is! I don't know too many sites that can have an animal rescued in less than 24 hours! Ms. Lady says thank you, too!

     Being partial to the Belgian Shepherd breed, which is not common in the USA, I waited a long time to find another after losing my last dog. Rescue Me! alerts worked beautifully to let me know when one was available in my area, and Saving Paws was exactly the kind of rescue group I was looking for. The fact that they specialize in German Shepherds and Belgians exclusively means they are very knowledgeable about the animals they take in, and are familiar with what type of ownership they require. I'm going to enjoy Sierra, my new six year old Malinois, and working with her to find what we love to do most, and giving her a chance to fully develop her talents!

     Sam was recently adopted by a man and his 13-year old son. They have a great place for her with a big yard and a great training plan to use her in Search and Rescue... It saddened me to have to give her up, but I am so thankful that Rescue Me! connected me with a family that will love and care for her and she will be in service to our community.

     Hello, Trudy found a new loving forever home today. I heard of Rescue Me! through a co-worker and am absolutely amazed on how many responses and quick responses I have received from your website. I'm not sure how others see my listings, but I am proud to have used your website to list my furbabies for new homes. Not only does it give me the opportunity to 'screen' potential homes, but also allows me to ensure they go to a loving forever home. I wish I had learned about this website a very long time ago! I've tried advertising on Craigslist (even though I've heard not so great things about that site) and no responses through there, but www.RescueMe.Org was an excellent choice for me! I am sad that my furbabies have gone to new homes, but seeing their new homes and knowing they are given the attention they deserve, I feel very much at peace that they are in the best and the most loving homes possible. In addition, the new 'parents' of Trudy have welcomed me to visit anytime and we even exchanged email information so they can keep me updated with pictures and such of Trudy with her new family members.      In less than 24 hours of posting on Rescue Me!, my dog was adopted by a very nice family that lives within a two mile radius. This site has renewed my belief in fate and the fact that everything happens for a reason. Putting my dog Sasha up for adoption was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.      Within four days of posting Ginger's Bio and picture, I received 2 phone calls. A family that only lived 10 minutes away, came and saw her but wanted to wait until after the holidays to make a decision. Then a person from Minnesota called me. She sounded so excited to get all the details about Ginger as she had recently lost her Malinois of 12 years to cancer. She said when she read Ginger's bio, she fell in love with her because so many of Ginger's personality and traits sounded just like her late Malinois. My first thought was, it sure is a long way to travel to adopt a dog, but fate came in. She had made plans to vacation with family in Florida mid-January. After further discussions, we agreed to meet in Savannah, Georgia to introduce Ginger to her new mom. I am sad I have to give her up, but feel so blessed in knowing that her new mom will love her and care for her just like she would her own child. Thank you www.RescueMe.Org for having such a wonderful site that provided immediate response to my urgent call.

     Jackson was adopted through Rescue Me:) from his adopter who shared the following: 'Introductions again down the street went good, working between raindrops. We are in the house. Jackson and Zena have it sorted out and they are already playing in the back yard. That went quicker than we expected. Both of these dogs are wired for fun, so I'm already 100% confident they will enjoy a lifetime of each other's company. Jena and I know we made the right decision adopting Jackson today. There were a few bumps in the road such as some people reporting being upset that they did not get the attention they wanted, as I did not feel they were the right placements for him and tried to politely allude to that and then just end my contact when they became pushy. I purposely did not post a picture as I did not want a love at first sight effect I needed someone committed to the welfare of the animal that was not interested in appearances.      Hi Jeff, Pandora found a wonderful home with a wonderful person who had another 7 month old puppy that needed a friend and he found it in Pandora. Your site is wonderful and I hope that everyone takes time to send donations to your organization because it works. To all of you out there who love animals this is one of those organizations that once you take a few minutes to send a donation you will feel like you have done a great thing. So many dogs in need of mommies and daddies as I put it or just a best friend who will take the time out to throw a ball, get a lick , a warm bed and a gentle hug goes a long way. I have several dogs and 2 kitties and if I could I would have more. My favorite dog is my 3 y/o female belgian mali Roxy she is not only a dog but my second child lol and most of all my best friend.      Hello Jeff, Solo was adopted thanks to Rescue Me. He was on the site for about 1 week before I got the first call. He actually went to a soldier stationed at Ft. Benning, GA. It was a perfect fit for both his new owner and Solo. Since then I've had several more emails regarding the dog's availability. The site was simple to use and easy to sign up for. I want to say thanks to Rescue Me. In a situation beyond my control Rescue Me allowed me to find the perfect home for a terrific dog.
